For over 32 years, Jennifer S. Mead has championed innovative education. As the Director of Education for the California Invention Convention, she fosters creative problem-solving state-wide. A recognized innovator, Jennifer is the recipient of the 2020 Lemelson-MIT Excite Award and the 2019 Henry Ford Teacher Innovator Award.
Through her consultancy, Invention Learning, LLC, she develops "STEAMie" frameworks that integrate invention and entrepreneurship into project-based learning. An accomplished artist, Jennifer also specializes in handmade book arts, viewing these physical creations as a tangible expression of creative literacy. Author of the children’s book Little Red the Inventor, Jennifer bridges literature, art, and innovation to empower emerging inventors to transform curiosity into real-world solutions.
