Tools for Inventors
Designing the Next Generation of Inventors.
Innovation isn’t just an outcome; it’s a process that begins with the right environment. Our Tools of Inventing are curated to bridge the gap between foundational literacy and hands-on creativity, providing educators and families with everything needed to transform abstract ideas into tangible, project-based solutions.
The Invention Box
Your Toolkit for Cultivating Curiosity
At the heart of every great inventor is a box of possibilities. We believe that by providing the right resources—from literature-based lessons to tactile bookmaking—we can help every learner build their 'Inventor’s Brain.'

BUILD YOUR OWN INVENTION BOX
Curating the "Treasure"
Phase 1
The Treasure Hunt: Become an explorer in your own home! Look for discarded items that have hidden potential—like cardboard tubes, plastic lids, or fabric scraps—and turn them into your personal stash of invention "treasure." STEAMie Selection: As you choose your items, think about how they fit into the STEAMie world. Are you picking something for Engineering, like a sturdy gear, or something for Arts, like a colorful scrap of felt?
Structural Design & Branding
Phase 2
The Box of Your Dreams: Find a special container that speaks to you and transform it into the "Invention Box" that reflects your personality. Make it Yours: Give your box a name and decorate it using your favorite artistic style—whether it's vintage-inspired, rustic, or modern—so everyone knows it belongs to a true inventor. Official Labeling: Add your personal stamp to the outside with your brand name, "Invention Learning," to show you are ready to start "Cultivating Curiosity and Igniting Invention."
SCAMPER Process
Phase 3
The Inventor’s Code: Use your secret weapon, the SCAMPER method, to look at your "treasures" in a brand-new way! Master the Moves: Practice Substitute, Combine, Adapt, Modify, Put to other uses, Eliminate, and Rearrange to see what amazing new things you can build from your box. The Flow of Innovation: When you start to build your prototype, remember to follow the steps in a clear, clockwise direction to guide your brilliant ideas to life.
Community Engagement
Phase 4
Share Your Genius: Bring your Invention Box to life by sharing your finished prototypes with friends, family, or your community to show how your unique ideas can solve challenges. Journal Your Journey: Use your "Little Red’s Invention Journal" to keep a record of every invention you create, from the first spark of an idea to the final, finished masterpiece.
Be a "Problem Seeker"
Instead of just looking for things to build, become a "Problem Seeker"—an inventor who explores the world with curiosity to find things that aren't working quite right, things that are missing, or things that could be made better, faster, or more fun for everyone.
